Leadership Coaching and Development Programmes
Steph has led me to consciously consider clarity and use of language in giving messages and achieving outcomes in meetings both with individuals and groups. This has improved my influencing skills. I now have a greater understanding of my own character, thoughts, behaviour, influencing skills, key drivers and needs.
I am consequently more aware of how others perceive me and I can modify my own behaviour to optimise the results that I wish to achieve (corporate goals). This is very much tied in with my comment above about influencing skills.

"Given the pressure of the work place it can be extremely difficult to find the time to reflect. Working with Steph Mackellar on a one-to-one basis as well as in a small group, I have learned to find the space to achieve this.
The value of taking a step back and assuming a fresh perspective is immense. I have found that with Steph Mackellar's insight and intuition to guide me through this process, I was able to find out new things about myself and other people. By increasing my self- awareness I have definitely improved the way that I interact with other people, especially in relation to handling conflict situations.
Drawing on a wide range of experience and using appropriate materials to support Steph uses an approach that is deceptively simple and yet simultaneously very powerful."

"The support provided by Linda has been invaluable. With her help, I have managed to appreciate my own strengths and weaknesses and gained an insight into the needs and behaviours of other team members. This has enabled me to develop strategies to achieve my own leadership goals within the framework of an effective team working environment.

Teams
"Thank you for such a thought provoking and stimulating course. It has already impacted on my organization. What I learnt has helped me to assess the make up of my present teams, reorganise them and benefit from the improvement."
Maria Vinante, Headteacher, Rockliffe Manor School, Greenwich
"I don't think the management team would have got through the latest organisational change so successfully without the workshop to help them understand each other's strengths and develop a genuine team spirit"
Maggy McClelland, Head of Utilities, Computer Sciences Corporation.
Recruiting the right staff
"Hambledon has helped the department with the recruitment process for an important and influential position. We wanted an individual who was tough and analytical as well as use softer skills to develop good networks and influence people.
Stephanie helped us think through exactly what sort of person we wanted for the post. Once we were able to articulate this Stephanie developed a set of questions for interview, supported by secondary probing questions. The questions developed by Stephanie were very effective - they immediately identified stronger and weaker candidates for the post. The effect was quite dramatic.
"I was also very impressed by the practicalities of working with Stephanie: we planned the work and everything happened on time. I warmly recommend Stephanie to anyone wanting to recruit to a position of influence."
